December 8, 2024, Sunday — Bacoor City, Cavite – A decisive anti-drug operation by the Bacoor Component City Police Station (CCPS) Drug Enforcement Unit resulted in the arrest of two high-value individuals (HVI) and the seizure of Php 714,000 worth of suspected shabu early Sunday morning, December 8, 2024.

The operation took place around 12:30 AM in Barangay Panapaan 4, Bacoor City, Cavite. The suspects, identified as alias “Tol” from Brgy. Panapaan 4 and alias “Leonard” from Pasay City, Manila, were apprehended after being flagged as HVIs in the Bacoor CCPS drug watchlist.

Authorities confiscated four heat-sealed sachets containing 105 grams of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu,” alongside a red motorcycle, an android phone, a brown paper bag, and marked money used for the drug-bust operation.

Both suspects were informed of their rights in compliance with Republic Acts No. 9165, 7438, and the Anti-Torture Act of 2009. The police utilized an Alternative Recording Device (ARD) to ensure transparency and proper documentation throughout the operation.

Regional Director PBGen Paul Kenneth T Lucas lauded the successful operation, emphasizing the vital role of public cooperation in combating illegal drugs.

“This accomplishment demonstrates the effectiveness of collaboration between law enforcement and the community in combating illegal drugs,” PBGen Lucas stated. He added, “Without the timely and valuable information provided by concerned citizens and the tireless dedication of our police force, this operation would not have been possible. I encourage everyone to remain vigilant and proactive in providing information that can aid in our continuous fight against illegal activities. Together, we can build safer and more secure communities for all.”

The suspects are currently under Bacoor CCPS custody for documentation and processing before appropriate charges are filed.

This operation underscores the commitment of Police Regional Office 4A to its mandate of ensuring public safety and eradicating illegal drugs through consistent law enforcement and community collaboration.
