CALAMBA CITY, LAGUNA — Essential government services continued to reach residents of Barangays Majada In and GK Majada in Barangay Canlubang despite the persistent rains, as the Calamba City government delivered assistance aimed at supporting senior citizens and vulnerable households.
Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal led the distribution of Social Pension to senior citizens in Majada In, providing financial assistance to help address their daily needs.
The activity was also paired with a flu vaccination drive, giving senior citizens additional protection against seasonal illnesses amid several days of rainy weather.

” Ipinamahagi natin ang Social Pension para sa ating mga minamahal na Senior Citizens sa Majada In. At dahil ilang araw na rin tayong inuulan, sinabayan na rin natin ito ng Flu Vaccination upang dagdag-proteksyon laban sa sakit.”
Meanwhile, households at GK Majada In also received rice assistance, with every household provided with rice to help ease the impact of rising daily expenses.
“Samantala, sa GK Majada In, namahagi rin tayo ng bigas bawat household.”
The initiatives underscore the city government’s continued focus on bringing social protection, health services and basic assistance directly to communities, particularly during challenging weather conditions.
