CALOOCAN CITY — Arestado ang dalawang indibidwal na umano’y sangkot sa ilegal na kalakalan ng droga matapos ang isinagawang anti-illegal drugs buy-bust operation ng mga operatiba ng Sub-Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) ng Caloocan City Police Station noong Huwebes ng gabi, Agosto 13, 2026.

Isinagawa ang operasyon dakong alas-10:25 ng gabi sa Excess Lot, Phase 12, Barangay 188, Caloocan City.

Ayon sa ulat, pinangunahan ang operasyon ni PLT Restie F. Mables, OIC ng SDEU Caloocan, sa ilalim ng direktang pangangasiwa ni PCOL Joey T. Goforth, Hepe ng Caloocan City Police Station, at may koordinasyon sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Isang operatiba ang nagpanggap bilang poseur-buyer na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto sa dalawang suspek na kinilala sa mga alyas na “Boss 1” at “Boss 2.”

Nakumpiska mula sa mga suspek ang ilang sachet na naglalaman umano ng hinihinalang shabu, kabilang ang isang heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet na may timbang na 1.08 gramo at tinatayang Standard Drug Price (SDP) na ₱7,344.00.

Narekober din ang isa pang sachet na may timbang na humigit-kumulang 0.65 gramo, na may SDP na ₱4,420.00, gayundin ang isang heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet na naglalaman ng puting mala-kristal na substance na pinaniniwalaang shabu na may timbang na humigit-kumulang 40.74 gramo, na may SDP na ₱277,032.00.

Nakuha rin ang marked money na ginamit sa operasyon.

Sa kabuuan, umabot sa humigit-kumulang 42.47 gramo ang timbang ng hinihinalang shabu, na may kabuuang Standard Drug Price na ₱288,796.00.

Matapos ang pagkakaaresto, ipinaalam sa mga suspek ang kanilang mga karapatan at inihahanda ang pagsasampa ng kaso sa paglabag sa Sections 5 at 11, Article II ng Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Itinanggi naman ng mga suspek ang paratang na nagbebenta sila ng ilegal na droga.

Ayon sa SDEU Caloocan, naging matagumpay ang operasyon bilang bahagi ng patuloy na kampanya ng pulisya laban sa ilegal na droga. Isinagawa rin ang operasyon sa presensya ng mga kinatawan ng media at barangay.

Sa kasalukuyan, nasa kustodiya ng SDEU Caloocan ang mga suspek para sa kaukulang dokumentasyon at iba pang legal na proseso.
