Chief PNP Visits PRO CALABARZON, Lays down Policies and Guidance

Camp BGen Vicente P Lim – The Chief, Philippine National Police, Police General Rodolfo S. Azurin Jr. visited and talked to the men and women of Police Regional Office CALABARZON as he laid down his policies and guidance today at Bigkis-lahi Event Center, Camp BGen Vicente P Lim, Calamba City.

The Chief PNP was warmly welcomed by an arrival honor, accompanied by PRO 4A Regional Director PBGen Jose Melencio C Nartatez Jr.,upon his arrival afterwhich, he immediately proceeded to Bigkis-lahi event center and talked to all PRO 4A personnel including third level police officers, Provincial Directors, Chiefs of Police, and Regional Support Units.

PGen Azurin expressed his sincerest gratitude to the heartwarming hospitality of the members of PRO CALABARZON. In his speech, he reiterated the preservation of moral ascendancy and good image of PNP to the society.

“Kaya ako nagpunta sa inyo ay upang pasalamatan kayo ng personal dahil sa inyong supporta sa aking panukalang courtesy resignation sa mg 3rd level na mga officer. May mga tumalima na sa panawagan ng ating secretary ng DILG. Nais kong ipaunawa na ang ating hakbangin ito ay hindi para pahirapan o ibaba ang moral ng bawat isa, alam kong ang iba ay nalungkot at naguluhan ngunit ito ay para sa ikakabuti ng ating organisasyon.” Gen Azurin Said.

The Chief PNP’s internal cleansing aims to clear all senior officers from alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade in the country which caused distrust and doubt to the integrity of the entire organization. He also added that in his remaining term as chief of PNP, he will improve the policies and programs which will improve the welfare and enhance the organization’s capabilities to serve and protect the community.

“Kung hindi ko sisimulan ang paglilinis na ito, sino ang gagawa, matagal kong pinagisipan ang hakbang na ito at naniniwala ako na magbubunga ito ng ikakabuti ng ating organisasyon. Dapat lamang na maging magandang halimbawa tayong mga matataas na opisyal sa ating mga subordinates upang tayo ang pamarisan nila. Bago ako magretiro sisikapin kong malinis ang imahe ng ating organisasyon upang matapos na o kung hindi man ay mabawasan ang droga sa ating bansa.” he further said.

After the talk to men, PRO 4A Regional Director PBGen Nartatez accompanied PGen Azurin to PRO 4A Multi-Purpose Hall for the presentation of accomplishments and conference which was also attended by the Command Group, Regional Staff and Provincial Directors and Chief, RSUs
