PINASINAYAAN ni Senador Lito Lapid ang bagong gawang Infectious Diseases Unit(IDU) ng Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center sa Tondo, Maynila nitong Biyernes, April 21, 2023.
Kahit deklaradong holiday, binuksan ni Sen. Lapid ang yunit para magamit ng pasyenteng walang pambayad sa hospital.
Naglaan si Sen. Lapid ng P30M sa DPWH para sa pagpapagawa ng Infectious Diseases Unit na matatagpuan sa ika-pitong palapag ng hospital. Abot sa higit 40 pasyente ang maaaring i-accommodate ng unit na fully airconditioned at libre pa.
Todo pasasalamat naman si Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan, mga doktor at nurses sa pagbibigay ng kahalagahan ni Sen. Lapid sa kalusugan ng mga Manileño at mula sa ibang probinsya.
Nangako si Sen. Lapid na patuloy na magbibigay ng tulong medikal at ayuda sa mga kababayan nating mahihirap na hindi kayang magpagamot sa mga pribadong ospital.
“Kung ano pa ang maibibigay kong tulong sa mga taga-Maynila at ibang probinsya, ipagbigay-alam lang sa aking opisina upang agad na aming aksyunan sa abot ng aking makakaya,” ayon kay Lapid
Ang Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center ay itinatag noong April 30, 1998 sa pamamuno ni dating Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim, isa sa anim na (6) charity hospitals sa Lungsod at may kapasidad na 100 kama.
