Ilang oras matapos magviral ang larawan ng isang bangkay ng batang babae na natagpuan sa Brgy. Gulang-gulang, Lucena City ay inanunsyo ni PCOL Ledon D Monte ang pagkakaaresto sa suspek ng nasabing insidente.
Ayon kay PCOL Monte, nang makarating sa kanyang kaalaman ang nasabing insidente ay agad nโyang inutusan ang hepe ng Lucena CPS na si PLTCOL RUBEN A BALLERA na tutukan ang nasabing kaso para sa agarang paglutas nito.
Agad naman nagsagawa ng malalimang imbestigasyon ang Lucena PNP katuwang ang mga operatiba at ang Quezon Provincial Forensic Unit.
Sa tulong ng CCTV ay agad nilang nakilala ang suspek sa nasabing insidente at ikinasa ang isang follow-up operation na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto nito. Kung saan kinilala ni PCOL Monte ang naarestong suspek na si Julius Baloaloa Rodas, 19 taong gulang at residente ng Barangay 4, Lucena City.
Ipinaabot naman ni PCOL Monte ang kanyang pakikiramay sa pamilya ng biktima kasabay nang pagtitiyak ng hustisya para sa kanila.
โTayo ay nalulungkot sa pangyayaring ito, kaya naman ipinapaabot natin ang taos-pusong pakikiramay para sa pamilya ng biktima. Binibigyang kasiguraduhan natin na makakamit ang nararapat na hustisya para sa biktima at sa mga naulila โ ani PCOL Monte.
Sa kasalukuyan, nasa kustodiya na ng Lucena CPS ang nasabing suspek at inaayos na ang mga dokumento para sa reklamong isasampa sa kanya.
