Inihalal ang mga bagong opisyal ng Regional Agriculture and Fishery Council (RAFC) sa rehiyon sa ginanap na eleksyon noong ika-26 ng Hulyo, 2023. Ito ay sinaksihan ng Department of Agriculture IV-CALABARZON (DA-4A) sa pangugnuna ni Regional Executive Director Milo delos Reyes.
Ang RAFC ang pamunuan ng mga kinatawan sa pribadong sektor ng agrikultura sa rehiyon na katuwang ng Kagawaran sa pagpapaunlad ng industriya ng pagsasaka. Kabilang sa mga pangunahing tungkulin ng mga opisyal dito ay ang paggawa ng mga polisiya na maaaring ipatupad bilang pagtugon sa mga problema na namamataan sa bawat sektor ng agrikultura.
Binuo ang bagong pamunuan ng RAFC nina Chairperson: Flordeliza Maleon, Vice Chairperson: Gaudencio Genil, Treasurer: Maribel Orense, Internal Auditor: Noriet Morillo, at mga Sectoral Chairperson para sa Rice & other Food Staples: Dante Florante, Poultry & Livestock: Virginia Ronquillo, Corn & other Feed Crops: Luciano Lira, Fisheries & Aquaculture: Maribel Orense, Agricultural & Fishery Mechanization: Rayman Salvo, Fruits & Vegetables: Zaldy Tanega, Coffee & Cacao: Florencio Flores, Coconut: Reynaldo Garcia, Sugarcane: Franco Tenorio, Climate Change, Environment, & Natural Resources: Noriet Morillo, International/Local Trade: Flordeliza Maleon, Gender Equality & Social Inclusion: Carolina Licas, at Youth in Agriculture & Fisheries: Marwin de Torres.
Kasabay nito ay tinanggap naman ni dating RAFC Chairman Pedrito Kalaw ang sertipiko ng pagpapahalaga sa kanyang paglilingkod bilang pinuno sa loob ng anim na taon. Bilin niya sa mga nanalo, ang pagbibigay ng serbisyo sa RAFC ay hindi nararapat mawala ang taos-pusong pagtulong sa mga magsasaka, aktibong pagtugon sa responsibilidad bilang kinatawan ng rehiyon, at tutok sa mga isyu na bibigyang solusyon.
Ang termino ng mga nanalo sa eleksyon ay aabot ng tatlong taon at inaasahan ang kanilang opisyal na panunumpa sa darating na ika-4 ng Agosto sa Villa Escudero sa Tiaong, Quezon.
