AKAY National Political Party, a beacon of hope for the marginalized, emerged today in San Pablo City, Laguna, marking a significant milestone in the country’s political landscape. On this auspicious day of May 9, 2024, candidates from diverse backgrounds and regions converged to pledge their commitment to the party’s noble cause.
The party, aptly named “Katipunan ng Pag-angat at Pag-yabong ng Bayan” or the Union for the Progress and Prosperity of the Nation, resonates with the spirit of inclusivity, proudly bearing the title “Anak ng Laguna.” Its approval by the Commission on Elections earlier this year granted it the authority to nominate candidates for national, regional, and local positions, including the presidency and vice presidency.
At its heart lies a profound dedication to uplifting the most vulnerable sectors of society, ranging from persons with disabilities (PWDs), solo parents, and senior citizens to educators, barangay officials, and workers across various sectors. Their advocacy reflects a commitment to integrity, compassion, and truthfulness, principles vital for the nation’s well-being.
Leading the charge is Vice Mayor Tony Aurelio of Rizal, Laguna, assuming the role of President, supported by former Congressman Sol Aragones as Chairman and former reporter Doland Castro as Secretary-General. Together, they embody the party’s vision of a fair and just society, where every individual’s voice is heard and valued.
Among its key initiatives is the establishment of a tertiary hospital in Laguna, aimed at providing accessible healthcare to the province’s residents and extending support to neighboring regions. Education takes precedence, with the party pledging scholarships not only for academic achievers but also for those determined to pursue their studies.
Recognizing the potential of tourism as an engine of growth, the party vows to promote local products and businesses, fostering economic development and job creation. Their comprehensive approach encompasses the welfare of all sectors, ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey towards progress.
As the AKAY National Political Party embarks on this transformative journey, it calls upon all citizens to unite in the pursuit of a brighter future for the nation. With steadfast determination and unwavering unity, they believe that together, they can overcome any obstacle and realize the dreams of a prosperous and inclusive society.
