LAGUNA-Nasawi ang isang kadete ng isang maritime school sa Laguna matapos na ito ay “parusahan” ng kanilang senior class officer dahil sa maling pagkaka-react nito sa cadet messenger group chat.
Kinilala ang biktima na si CDT. Vince Andrew Delos Reyes, 19-anyos, taga Barangay Tagumpay, Baco, Oriental, Mindoro at student cadet sa NYK-TDG Maritime Academy (NTMA) na nasa Barangay Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna.
Ayon sa report ng Calamba City PNP, nangyari ang insidente noong alas 5:00 ng July 8, Lunes, subalit naireport lamang sa pulisya nitong madaling araw ng Martes.
Base sa imbestigasyon, matapos kumain ng hapunan, kasama ng biktima ang apat pang kaklaseng kadete at nagpapahinga na sa kanilang cabin o barracks nang ipatawag ito ng kanilang senior officer na isang Nataniel sa kaniyang cabin dahil umano sa nagawa nitong “offense”.
Aksidente umanong nakapag-react ng thumbs-up ang biktima sa kanilang conversation sa messaging group chat ng mga kadete.
Bilang punishment, pinagsagawa ito ng physical exercises ng suspek, subalit sa katagalan, nakaramdam ito ng pangangapos ng hininga hanggang sa tuluyang mag-collapse.
Agad itong dinala sa infirmary at binigyan ng CPR subalit patuloy itong sumama ang kalagayan at humina na ang paghinga at ang pulso kaya isinugod na sa ospital.
Hindi na umabot pa ng buhay ang kadete sa pagamutan at idineklarang dead on arrival ng doktor sa Global Care Medical Center Canlubang.
Agad namang inaresto ang suspek na kasalukuyang nakakulong sa Calamba City Police Station locked up jail at nahaharap sa kasong Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide.
