COMELEC Begins Deployment of Automated Counting Machines to Key Hubs

Biñan City, Laguna – The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has officially started the deployment of Automated Counting Machines (ACMs) from FTA Holdings Inc. in Biñan City. At midnight, sealed trucks carrying the machines will begin their journey to three major hubs across the country.

COMELEC Commissioner George Garcia led the deployment operations, emphasizing the importance of this process in ensuring a smooth and efficient electoral system.

“Today marks the start of our ACM deployment. We are sending these machines to three key hubs: Iligan City, Zamboanga City, and Kidapawan City. From these locations, local COMELEC offices will collect their designated machines. If necessary, our provider will directly deliver them to various COMELEC offices nationwide,” Garcia stated.

He also reassured overseas voters that online voting remains a secure and tamper-proof option, provided they register through the official COMELEC website.

To maintain security and integrity, all trucks carrying the ACMs have been sealed before departure, ensuring their safe transport to their respective destinations.

This deployment marks a crucial step in COMELEC’s commitment to a transparent and efficient election process.
