Caloocan City — Arestado ang isang lalaki sa isinagawang Oplan Sita ng Hillcrest Police Substation 8 ng Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) matapos mahuli na walang suot na helmet at kalauna’y makumpiskahan ng hinihinalang ilegal na droga.

Bandang alas-2:00 ng madaling araw ng Biyernes, Hunyo 6, 2025, nagsagawa ng checkpoint ang mga tauhan ng Hillcrest Police Substation 8 sa pamumuno ni PLT Elmer S. Mape, Officer-in-Charge, sa harap mismo ng estasyon sa Camarin Road, Barangay 172, North Caloocan.

Ayon sa ulat, pinatigil ng mga operatiba ang isang lalaking sakay ng Mio na motorsiklo dahil sa hindi pagsusuot ng helmet. Sa halip na sumunod, bigla umanong tumilapon ang suspek at sinaktan si PSSg Gonzales. Tinangka rin nitong tumakas ngunit nawalan ng balanse at bumangga sa signage ng checkpoint, dahilan upang agad siyang maaresto ng mga pulis.

Sa isinagawang legal na paghahanap sa katawan ng suspek, narekober mula sa kanyang bulsa ang isang (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet na naglalaman ng puting crystalline substance na pinaniniwalaang shabu. Tumitimbang ito ng 3 gramo at may tinatayang halagang Php 20,400.00.

Kinilala ang naarestong suspek na si alyas FRANCIS na nahaharap sa mga kasong paglabag sa Article 151 ng Revised Penal Code (Resistance and disobedience to a person in authority),

At Paglabag sa Section 11 ng Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Mariin namang itinanggi ng suspek na siya ay sangkot sa bentahan ng droga.

Sa kasalukuyan, nasa kustodiya na ang suspect sa Hillcrest Police Substation 8 para sa kaukulang dokumentasyon at karagdagang imbestigasyon.
