QUEZON—Isang aktibong Barangay Chairman sa bayan ng Sariaya, Quezon ang inaresto nitong Martes ng hapon, Hunyo 24, matapos salakayin ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang kanyang tahanan.
Kinilala ang dinakip na suspek na si Brgy.Gibanga Chairman Cris Reynoso na unang termino sa pwesto bilang Brgy.Kapitan.
Base sa report ng NBI,si Reynoso ay nasakote matapos ang maikling habulan at nakitang nagtatago sa ilalim ng isang kama natunton ito dahil sa.mga bakas ng putik na galing sa kanyang mga paa.
Isinagawa ang raid sa bisa ng isang search warrant dahil sa umano’y pag-iingat niya ng mga walang lisensyang kalibre ng baril.
Nakumpiska ng mga awtoridad ang iba’t ibang uri ng baril mula dito, kabilang ang isang kalibre .45 na walang kaukulang lisensya.
Ang pag-aresto ay nangyari ilang linggo lamang ang nakakaraan at matapos lumaya ang kapitan sa Sariaya Costudial Facility sa pamamagitan ng makapaglaan nito ng kaukulang piyansa sa korte.
Matatandaang nakulong ang brgy chairman kaugnay sa pamamaril na ikinasawi ng anak ng kanyang barangay tanod noong Mayo 20 pasado alas-11:00 ng gabi.
Ayon sa naunang ulat ng Quezon Police Provincial Office, tinawagan ng kapitan ang kanyang barangay tanod at anak nito, kasama ang hepe ng kanilang tanod, upang rumesponde sa paghingi ng tulong ng nasabing kapitan na may isang tao umaaligid sa kanyang bakuran.
Sa kasamaang palad, napagkamalan ng kapitan ang anak ng tanod na siyang nanghihimasok na pumasok sa compound, na naging dahilan ng pagkasawi nito.
Ayon pa din sa NBI na ang Kapitan ay sinasabing sangkot sa ilang krimen na naganap sa.ilang bayan sa lalawigan ng Quezon at isa sa mga biktima ay government official sa nakalipas na ilang buwan.
Patuloy pa ang isinasagawang imbestigasyon ng NBI para mapatunayan kung ay katotohanan ang mga paratang kay Brgy.Chairman Cris Reynoso.
