Candelaria, Quezon – Arestado ang isang rider matapos mahulihan ng hindi lisensyadong baril, patalim, at hinihinalang shabu sa isinagawang Oplan Sita Checkpoint ng Candelaria Municipal Police Station (MPS) sa Sitio Calamias, Brgy. San Isidro, Candelaria, Martes ng gabi (Hulyo 8, 2025).
Kinilala ang suspek na si Alvin Magbojos Baldeo, 47 anyos, residente ng Sirio Kalijon, Brgy. Palingowak, San Juan, Batangas.
Batay sa ulat ni PLTCOL Reynaldo Reyes, hepe ng Candelaria PNP, bandang alas-10:00 ng gabi ay nagsasagawa ng Oplan Sita ang mga tauhan ng Candelaria MPS at 1st Quezon Provincial Mobile Force Company (1st QPMFC) nang parahin si Baldeo dahil sa hindi pagsusuot ng helmet habang nagmomotorsiklo.
Habang kinakausap ng mga pulis, bigla umanong nagtangkang tumakas ang suspek at nakipagbuno pa sa mga operatiba. Sa gitna ng komosyon, napansin ang isang caliber .45 na baril na nakasukbit sa kanyang beywang, kargado ng magazine at bala. Sa karagdagang inspeksyon, narekober sa kanyang sling bag ang isang patalim at isang heat-sealed sachet ng hinihinalang shabu.
Kasalukuyang nakakulong si Baldeo sa custodial facility ng Candelaria PNP at nahaharap sa mga kasong paglabag sa RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), at Omnibus Election Code kung sakaling election period.

Lalaki, Arestado rin sa Search Warrant Operation sa Brgy. Kinatihan
Samantala, isang lalaki rin ang naaresto sa isinagawang search warrant operation sa Sitio Bulihan, Brgy. Kinatihan I, Candelaria, Miyerkules ng madaling araw (Hulyo 9, 2025) dahil sa pag-iingat ng ilegal na baril sa kanyang tahanan.
Kinilala ang suspek na si Ronald Manahan Hernandez, 46 anyos, residente ng nabanggit na barangay.
Ayon kay PLTCOL Reyes, isinilbi ng Candelaria PNP ang search warrant bandang alas-5:00 ng madaling araw. Sa isinagawang pagsisiyasat sa loob ng bahay ni Hernandez, narekober ang isang 9mm pistol, dalawang magazine, at 25 pirasong bala, na pawang walang kaukulang dokumento o lisensya.
Kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya rin ng Candelaria PNP si Hernandez at sinampahan ng kasong paglabag sa RA 10591 sa Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
