Manila — Hindi lang iisa ang sangkot sa online na pang-aabuso sa mga menor de edad sa Surigao del Sur.
Kinumpirma ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na mas marami pang indibidwal ang kanilang tinutunton kaugnay ng sindikato ng online sexual exploitation.
Ayon kay Ma. Rosalie Laguardia, sa isinagawang operasyon ng NBI sa isang liblib na barangay sa Bislig City, anim na menor de edad ang nasagip mula sa umano’y matagal nang pang-aabuso online.
Base sa imbestigasyon, ang naarestong babae ay hindi lamang suspek kundi siya rin ang magulang ng dalawa sa mga biktima, habang ang dalawa pa ay kaniyang mga pamangkin at ang natitirang dalawa ay kaniyang mga kapitbahay.
Dagdag pa ng NBI, hindi lamang ang naturang babae ang sangkot sa barangay dahil may iba pang indibidwal na pinaniniwalaang bahagi ng operasyon.
Ang mga nasagip na biktima ay nasa edad walong taong gulang hanggang disisiyete anyos.
Nagsimula ang operasyon matapos makatanggap ng impormasyon ang NBI mula sa kanilang international counterparts, kabilang ang mga awtoridad sa Australia, kaugnay ng isang dayuhang sangkot sa human trafficking.
Sa isinagawang digital investigation, natunton ang komunikasyon ng isang Australian national at isang Filipina sa pamamagitan ng social media, kung saan natuklasang may bayad kapalit ng live online sexual exploitation ng mga bata.
Nakumpirma rin ng mga awtoridad ang pagkakakilanlan at lokasyon ng lokal na facilitator na siyang pinagmumulan ng mga materyales, dahilan upang ikasa ang operasyon na nagresulta sa pagkakasagip sa mga menor de edad.
Nilinaw ng NBI na ang Australian suspect ay naaresto ng kanilang police counterparts sa ibang bansa, habang ang nahuli sa Pilipinas ay ang tinatawag na “local facilitator” na umano’y ilang taon nang sangkot sa naturang ilegal na gawain.
Nahaharap ngayon sa kasong human trafficking at paglabag sa mga batas laban sa online sexual abuse ng mga bata ang mga suspek.
Patuloy pa ang mas malalim na imbestigasyon ng NBI upang matukoy at mahuli pa ang iba pang sangkot sa lumalawak na network ng online exploitation.
Nanawagan naman si NBI Director Atty.Melvin Matibag sa publiko na maging mapagmatyag at agad ireport ang anumang kahina-hinalang aktibidad online na maaaring may kinalaman sa pang-aabuso sa mga menor de edad.
Samantala sa isyu naman ng mga lumabas na video sa social media na ginagamit na paninira kay NBI Director Atty Melvin Matibag ay sinagot ito ng Director at pinagsalita mismo sa harapan ng mga taga media si Mr. Mel Sabio (kausap ni Atty Matibag sa celphone) sa isinagawang presscon sa NBI National Office conference room.
Sinabi ni Sabio na matagal na ang video na ito ng paguusap at pagtatalo nila ni Matibag sa celphone ilang taon na ang nakakalipas,paliwanag pa ni Sabio matapos ang kanilang pagtatalo at palitan ng maaanghang na salita sa isat isa makalipas ang dalawang linggo ay nagkaayus at nagkaintindihan na din kaagad silang dalawa at sa katunayan ay bussines partner pa sila ngayon sa dalawa nilang kumpanya ng negosyo.
Ayon kay Sabio nakahanda na ang mga dokumento ng pagsasampa niya ng kasong Data Privacy Act sa unang individual na nagpost sa social media ng naturang video nila ni NBI Director.
Sinabi naman ni Atty. Matibag na susugsugan ng NBI at iimbistigahan ang iba pang video na inilabas ng limang indibidwal sa social media na ginagamit na paninira sa kredebilidad at pamumuno ng NBI Director.
Naniniwala si Atty. Matibag na iisang grupo ang gumagawa nito dahil sa sistematik at sabay sabay na ginagawang pagpo post ng mga ito sa Social Media.
