BATANGAS — Tatlong lalaki ang arestado sa ikinasang operasyon ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) laban sa ilegal na bentahan at pagsasalin ng produktong petrolyo o tinatawag na “paihi” sa Bauan, Batangas.

Ayon sa CIDG, isinagawa ang operasyon pasado alas-dose ng madaling-araw nitong Huwebes, Mayo 7 sa Brgy. San Pedro kung saan naaktuhan umano ang mga suspek na nagsasalin ng diesel at gasolina mula sa tanker truck patungo sa mga container at drum nang walang kaukulang permit mula sa Department of Energy.

Nasamsam sa operasyon ang isang tanker truck na may laman na tinatayang 20,000 litro ng petroleum products, anim na malaking container na may lamang diesel, ilang drum ng unleaded gasoline, at ibat ibang klase ng mga kagamitan na ginagamit sa operasyon ng paihi.

Tinatayang aabot sa mahigit 5.5 milyon piso ang kabuuang halaga ng mga nakumpiskang ebidensya.

Nahaharap ang mga suspek sa kasong paglabag sa Batas Pambansa Blg. 33 at Presidential Decree 1865 kaugnay ng illegal trading ng petroleum products.
