CALOOCAN CITY — Dalawang lalaki ang naaresto matapos ang matagumpay na anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation na isinagawa ng mga operatiba ng Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) ng Caloocan City Police Station noong Hunyo 19, 2026 sa Barangay 36, Caloocan City.
Ayon sa ulat, isinagawa ang operasyon sa pangunguna ni Police Lieutenant Restie Mables, hepe ng SDEU Caloocan, sa ilalim ng direktang superbisyon ni Police Colonel Joey T. Goforth, Officer-in-Charge ng Caloocan City Police.
Isang operatiba ng pulisya ang nagpanggap na poseur-buyer na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto ng dalawang suspek na sina Alyas Prince at Alyas Aljon na may edad na 24 at 34 taong gulang.
Nakumpiska mula sa mga suspek ang isang tunay na P500 bill kasama ang boodle money na ginamit sa buy-bust operation.
Nasamsam din ang mga heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet na naglalaman ng puting crystalline substance na hinihinalang shabu. Mula sa 24-anyos na suspek ay nakumpiska ang 64.97 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na may tinatayang Standard Drug Price na P441,796.00, habang 14.76 gramo naman na nagkakahalaga ng P20,664.00 ang narekober mula sa 34-anyos na suspek.
Sa kabuuan, umabot sa 79.73 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na may kabuuang halaga na P462,460.00 ang nakumpiska sa operasyon.
Matapos ang kanilang pagkakaaresto, binasahan ang mga suspek ng kanilang mga karapatan alinsunod sa batas. Nahaharap sila ngayon sa mga kasong paglabag sa Sections 5, 11, at 26, Article II ng Republic Act No. 9165 o ang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Samantala, itinanggi ng mga suspek ang paratang na sila ay sangkot sa pagbebenta ng ilegal na droga.
Ayon sa Caloocan City Police, ang matagumpay na operasyon ay patunay ng kanilang pinaigting na kampanya laban sa ilegal na droga at patuloy na dedikasyon sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan, kaayusan, at kaligtasan ng mamamayan.
