20-Years in the making, Ayala Greenfield Interchange Finally Breaks Ground in Calamba City

In a long-awaited development, the Ayala Greenfield Interchange is set to become a reality in Calamba City after 20 years of anticipation. The project, spearheaded by the local government under Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal, is a collaboration between the Calamba City LGU, San Miguel Corporation (SMC), and Ayala Greenfield Development Corporation.

During the groundbreaking ceremony at the Ayala Greenfield Estates’ Spine Road, SMC Chief Operating Officer Ramon Ang highlighted the two-decade journey leading up to this momentous event. The Calamba LGU, led by Mayor Rizal, successfully acquired the necessary land for the project’s route, paving the way for its implementation.

In his speech, Mayor Rizal emphasized the significance of the interchange, stating, “This project is not just about addressing the volume of vehicles and visitors to our city; it opens up numerous opportunities for our residents. It symbolizes a vibrant and bright future for the people of Calamba.”

The Ayala Greenfield Interchange is envisioned to improve traffic flow and connectivity while promoting economic growth by making the city more business-friendly. Mayor Rizal also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to embracing positive change for the benefit of every Calambeño.

As the city moves forward with this landmark project, the mayor concluded with a call for unity, saying, “In our CalamBAGO, we continue to embrace change for the betterment of every Calambeño. Together, we shall rise and prosper in our dynamic city of Calamba.”

The interchange marks a significant step towards realizing Calamba City’s vision of progress and development, enhancing both infrastructure and the quality of life for its residents.
