Calamba Water District Urges Public to Prepare for Typhoon Nika

Calamba, Laguna – This Monday, Calamba Water District (CWD) General Manager Jhun Aguilar addressed the public, expressing concern over the approaching Typhoon Nika. “Magandang Lunes po sa lahat. Maghanda at mag-ingat po ang lahat kay Bagyong Nika. Dasal lang po tayo na umiwas sa atin si Nika,” Aguilar said, encouraging residents to stay vigilant and hopeful for the typhoon to spare the region from severe impact.

In an official advisory, CWD reminded residents to prepare adequately. “Muli pong inaabisuhan ang publiko na maging handa at mag-ingat sa parating na Bagyong Nika. Mag-ipon po tayo ng sapat na tubig, at least para sa 2 araw na pangangailangan,” the advisory read. The district stressed the need for water storage, warning of potential flooding and power outages caused by intense rainfall.

CWD assured its customers that water services would continue uninterrupted, with the district making every effort to serve Calamba residents throughout the typhoon’s impact. “Makakaasa po kayo sa patuloy na serbisyo ng Calamba Water District sa kabila ng Bagyong Nika na ating madadanasan,” CWD stated.

The district encourages residents to stay informed and prioritize safety as Typhoon Nika approaches.
