CALOOCAN CITY — Matagumpay na nagsagawa ng anti-illegal drugs buy-bust operation ang mga operatiba ng Northern Police District Drug Enforcement Unit (NPD-DDEU) noong Linggo ng umaga, Hunyo 14, 2026, bandang alas-5:18 ng umaga sa Reform Phase 2, Barangay 168, Caloocan City.

Ayon sa ulat, isinagawa ang operasyon sa pangunguna ni PMSG Raul L. Quimbo, Team Leader ng NPD-DDEU, sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni PMAJ Segundino Bulan Jr., hepe ng NPD-DDEU, at sa direktang superbisyon ni PLTCOL Allan T. Reyes, Officer-in-Charge ng DDEU. Ang operasyon ay may kaukulang koordinasyon sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) sa ilalim ng Coordination No. 17-00-06132026-016.

Isang pulis ang nagpanggap na poseur-buyer na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto ng dalawang suspek na kinilala lamang sa kanilang mga alyas na “Arnel Tulfo” at “Caroline Lengleng.”

Nakumpiska mula sa mga suspek ang anim na heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet na naglalaman ng puting crystalline substance na hinihinalang shabu. Ang mga nakuhang ilegal na droga ay may kabuuang timbang na humigit-kumulang 9.44 gramo at tinatayang nagkakahalaga ng ₱64,192.

Matapos ang operasyon, ipinaalam sa mga suspek ang kanilang mga karapatan alinsunod sa batas. Nahaharap sila ngayon sa kasong paglabag sa Sections 5, 11, at 26 ng Article II ng Republic Act No. 9165 o ang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Samantala, itinanggi ng mga suspek ang paratang na sila ay sangkot sa pagbebenta ng ilegal na droga.

Ayon sa pulisya, ang matagumpay na operasyong ito ay patunay ng pinaigting na kampanya laban sa ilegal na droga at kriminalidad, gayundin ng kanilang patuloy na pangako sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan, kaayusan, at kaligtasan ng publiko.
