FAMY, Laguna — Cancer patients in Famy and nearby towns now have easier access to life-saving treatment following the official opening of the Famy Chemotherapy Center at iMall Famy on Tuesday. June 16, 2026.

The facility, a subsidiary of the We Hope Medical Group, was established to provide free chemotherapy services to qualified cancer patients, eliminating the need for many residents to travel to other treatment centers in Bay or Calamba.

During the inauguration, Mr. Cesar Patrick F. Bonales, Public Relations Manager, said the new center is the 11th chemotherapy facility opened through a partnership between the Provincial Government and the Local Government Unit (LGU).

“This initiative aims to give cancer patients the opportunity to receive quality treatment without spending anything,” Bonales said.

He explained that patients who wish to avail themselves of the free chemotherapy services must be registered members of PhilHealth and present their Member Data Record (MDR) along with the necessary medical records.

Bonales also emphasized that cancer should no longer be viewed with fear, noting that government-supported programs are now available to help patients gain access to free treatment and medical care.

The opening of the Famy Chemotherapy Center is expected to bring much-needed healthcare services closer to residents of Famy and neighboring communities, providing greater hope and support for individuals battling cancer.
