The City Government of Calamba continues to provide immediate assistance to families affected by a landslide that caused the collapse of several homes in Barangay Mapagong, reinforcing its commitment to ensuring that no affected resident is left without support.

Relief goods from the City Government of Calamba, in coordination with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), were distributed to displaced families to help address their immediate needs as they recover from the disaster.

Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal assured residents that the city government remains steadfast in extending assistance to those affected.

“Patuloy nating inihahatid ang agarang tulong sa ating mga kababayan sa Brgy. Mapagong na naguhuan ng bahay dahil sa landslide sa pamamagitan ng pamamahagi ng relief goods mula sa Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Calamba at sa pakikipagtulungan ng DSWD.”

The local government emphasized that disaster response operations remain ongoing, with concerned agencies continuously monitoring the situation and coordinating aid for affected families.

Mayor Rizal also underscored the importance of unity and compassion during difficult times.

“Sa panahon ng pangangailangan, nananatili tayong nakaagapay upang matiyak na may sapat na suporta at ayuda ang bawat pamilyang naapektuhan. Sama-sama nating ipagpapatuloy ang malasakit at pagkakaisa para sa bawat Calambeño.”

The continuing relief operations reflect the city’s commitment to providing timely assistance and ensuring the welfare of Calambeños affected by natural disasters as they work toward recovery and rebuilding their homes.
