Most Wanted Provincial-Level Drug Offender Arrested in Calamba City During Oplan Galugad

A provincial-level most wanted person facing charges for illegal drug possession was arrested by operatives of the Calamba Component City Police Station (CCPS) during an Oplan Galugad operation late Wednesday night, July 30, in Calamba City, Laguna.

The suspect, identified only by the alias “Johnvi,” 31, a resident of Barangay Parian, Calamba City, was apprehended at around 11:22 p.m. in Sitio Tibag, Barangay 2, Calamba City.

The operation was conducted under the direct supervision of PLTCOL Dennis C. De Guzman, Chief of Police of the Calamba Component City Police Station (Calamba CCPS) patrollers, together with members of the Barangay Public Safety Officers (BPSO) of Barangay 2 led by PLT Ryan DM Rada, conducted Oplan Galugad when the suspect was stopped for verification. A subsequent check through the PNP e-Warrant System confirmed that he had an existing warrant of arrest.

Personnel of the Calamba CCPS Tracker Team immediately implemented the warrant issued, dated July 9, 2026.

The accused is facing a case for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, particularly Article II, Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), under Criminal Case No. 26-07-681. The court recommended bail of ₱200,000, while the case also carries a ₱10,000 fine.

Police said the arrest was documented using an Alternative Recording Device to ensure transparency during the operation.

The suspect was informed of his constitutional rights and the Anti-Torture Act warning before being taken into the custody of the Calamba CCPS. Authorities are now preparing the return of the warrant of arrest for submission to the issuing court, while the incident report has been forwarded to the proper police unit.
