Laguna Police Seize ₱4.2M Worth of Illegal Drugs, Arrest 292 in September

SANTA CRUZ, LAGUNA — Illegal drugs valued at ₱4,259,441 were seized while 292 individuals were arrested in a series of intensified anti-drug operations conducted by the Laguna Police Provincial Office (Laguna PPO) across the province from September 1 to 30, 2026.

Under the leadership of Provincial Director PCOL Sandro Jay DC Tafalla, Laguna PPO units carried out a total of 258 anti-illegal drug operations during the one-month period.

Police said the operations resulted in the confiscation of approximately 617.25 grams of suspected shabu and 125.32 grams of suspected marijuana.

The Laguna PPO said the seizures were the result of sustained operations by various police units aimed at preventing the distribution and sale of illegal drugs in communities across the province.

Authorities also emphasized the importance of public cooperation in the campaign against illegal drugs, particularly through the timely and reliable reporting of information that could assist police in identifying individuals allegedly involved in illegal activities.

The Laguna PPO said it would continue to conduct lawful, human-rights-based and intelligence-driven operations while strengthening police-community partnerships to help maintain peace, order and public safety throughout Laguna.

“Ang pagkakasamsam ng halos ₱4.2M halaga ng ilegal na droga sa loob lamang ng isang buwan ay patunay ng ating tuloy-tuloy na pagsisikap na mailayo ang mga ipinagbabawal na gamot sa ating mga lansangan at komunidad. Patuloy nating paiigtingin ang ating mga operasyon at palalakasin ang pakikipagtulungan sa mamamayan upang mapigilan ang paglaganap ng ilegal na droga sa Laguna,” pahayag ni PCOL Tafalla.
