Camp MGen Licerio I Geronimo, Brgy. Dolores, Taytay, Rizal – Dahil nadin sa nalalapit na Baranggay at Sangguniang Kabataan Election (BSKE) 2023 ay mas lalong pinatindi at puspusan ang operasyong ginagawa ng Rizal PNP upang masawata at masakote ang mga illegalista lalo na sa ipinag babawal na gamot o droga sa lalawigan. Mariing ipinagutos ni PCOL Rainerio De Chavez, Officer-In-Charge sa mga hepe ng labing apat na istasyon ng Pulis sa Rizal ang pagtutok sa laban kontra droga sa Probinsya.
Ito din ay bilang pagtalima sa direktiba ng butihing Acting Regional Director ng CALABARZON, PBGEN Paul Kenneth T Lucas na gawin ang nararapat at huwag manghimagod ang kapulisan sa pagsasagawa ng operasyon upang mapigilan ang paglaganap ng salot na droga.
Kamakailan lamang ay naaresto ang 10 personalidad sa mag kakahiwalay na operasyon na isinagawa ng Rizal Police Provincial Office. Nakumpiska sakanila ang tinatayang 21.51 na gramo ng Droga na may kabuuang presyo na Php 148,104.00.
Nahulihan naman ng baril ang isa sakanila na bukod sa kasong pag labag sa Republic Act No. 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022 ay kakaharapin din niya ang reklamong pag labag sa Republic Act No. 10591 (Firearms Law) in relation to COMELEC gun ban.
Hinihimok naman ni PCOL De Chavez ang mga mamamayan ng Rizal na suportahan at makibahagi sa inilunsad na programa ng Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa pamumuno ni Honorable Benjamin “Benhur” C. Abalos Jr and “Buhay ay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan” ang programa ay naglalayong mabawasan ang demand ng droga sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang aktibidad na tutugon sa tuluyang pagbabagong buhay at pagiging malaya sa illegal na Droga.
