Camp BGen Paciano Rizal, Sta Cruz, Laguna – A drug buy-bust resulted in the arrest of two drug suspects and the confiscation of 20.6 grams worth PhP142, 140.00 of suspected shabu in Sta Rosa City, Laguna today, November 8.
PCOL DEPOSITAR identified the suspect alias Jasper, 28 years old, married, employee, a native of Cotabato City and is presently residing in San Pedro City, Laguna; and alias Ann, 22 years old, a native of Tarlac and is presently in San Pedro City, Laguna.
In his report, PLTCOL DWIGHT F. FONTE JR, Chief of Police, Sta Rosa CCPS, said that Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of Sta Rosa CCPS conducted the operation at a Subdivision in Brgy. Tagapo, Sta Rosa City today, November 8.
During the operation, alias Jasper and alias Ann were arrested after a successful transaction with an undercover police officer. They sold a sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for a PhP1,000.00 marked bill to the police officer who posed as poseur buyer. A subsequent search yielded four (4) more sachets of suspected shabu, along with a one-hundred-peso bill and two five-hundred-peso bills believed to be drug money, in possession of alias Jasper.
The arrested suspects and pieces of evidence were brought to the PNP Regional Forensic Unit 4-A in Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba City, Laguna for laboratory examination.
PCOL DEPOSITAR commends the operating units as he said, “I commend the diligent efforts of our dedicated police in Sta Rosa City for their remarkable success in this drug buy-bust operation. The arrest of these suspects and the seizure of a substantial amount of suspected shabu highlight our unwavering commitment to combatting the illegal drug trade and ensuring the safety of our community.”
