Regional Highway Patrol Unit 4A, Camp BGen Vicente P Lim – At around 9:15 AM on November 21, 2023, a Joint Checkpoint Operation was conducted by PHPT Cavite, under the direct supervision of PMAJ GEGEON MERZA, and Naic Municipal Police Station, led by PLTCOL RESTY SORIANO in relation to the C, PNP Aggressive and Honest Law Enforcement Operations, and BSKE (Barangay and SK election), along Soriano Highway, corner Diosimito Subd., Brgy. Ibayo, Silangan, Naic, Cavite.
During the operation, a concerned citizen informed the team that a person riding a motorcycle had hesitated to pass due to the ongoing operation and the said rider had left a sling bag beside an establishment.
Subsequent to receiving reports of an unattended bag, the aforementioned team promptly conducted an ocular inspection of the area. Upon arrival, a sling bag was observed and subjected to a thorough search which revealed a short firearm of caliber .38 revolver, loaded with five (5) pieces of live ammunition, within the aforementioned bag.
The recovered short firearm marked as RE, RE-1, RE-2, RE-3, RE-4, and RE-5 was brought to PHPT-Cavite for proper disposition. Further, it was turned over to Regional Forensic Group 4A, Camp BGen Vicente Lim, Brgy. Canlubang, Calamba City, Laguna for Ballistic Examination. While a thorough investigation is still in progress to identify the description of the motorcycle and the unidentified malefactor
This proactive approach to conduct an anti-criminality campaign and police omnipresence across CALABARZON symbolizes an important step forward in the HPG4A’s commitment through the leadership of PBGEN ALAN M NAZARRO, Director of the Highway Patrol Group, and in line with the thrust of the CPNP’s strategy of implementing aggressive and honest law enforcement to deterring and pre-empt a crime that may possibly occur.
