Regional Highway Patrol Unit 4A, Camp BGen Vicente P Lim – The Land Transportation Office (LTO) on Thursday ordered the strict implementation of the No Registration No Travel Policy in light of 37 billion revenue losses due to non-registration of vehicles.

LTO Chief Vigor Mendoza II cited a review of the agency’s data showing that 65 percent of the motor vehicles in the country were classified as delinquent on those where the owners either failed or deliberately refused to have them registered

Acting on this report, a team from Regional Highway Patrol Unit 4A in close coordination with Regional Director of LTO4A, Atty Cupido Gerry D Asuncion, the Batangas Philippine Port Authority Management, and Local Police established a Motor Vehicle Integrity Monitoring Team in all seaports in Calabarzon to prevent the shipment of stolen motor vehicle from Luzon to other parts of the country, reduce carnapping incident, monitor and apprehend possessors of motor vehicle with fraudulent documents and/or expired registration.

The leadership of the Highway Patrol Group raised concern over the alarming data considering the assessment of LTO these delinquent motor vehicles either have problems passing roadworthiness inspections that include emission testing and do not have insurance coverage, placing the lives of the road users at risk

This proactive to road users’ safety symbolizes an important step towards in the RHPU4A commitment through the leadership of PBGEN ALAN M NAZARRO, Director of the Highway Patrol Group and in line with the thrust of the CPNP’s strategy of implementing aggressive and honest law enforcement in ensuring the safety of the general public.
