Quezon PPO Provincial Director, PCOL LEDON D MONTE has called on to Chiefs of Police of 39 municipalities and 2 cities to strictly enforce the ordinances on banning the use of harmful firecrackers and lessen, if not eliminate, pyrotechnics-related injuries before and during the New Year’s Eve celebration.
“Patuloy kong pinapaalalahanan ang aking mga tauhan na manguna sa pagtitiyak na walang masasaktan dahil sa paputok ngayong darating na selebrasyon ng bagong taon,” ani PCOL MONTE.
Gayun din naman, mariing pinapaalalahanan ang buong publiko ng ibayong pagiingat sa nalalapit na pagsalubong sa bagong taon. Nananawagan din ang mga kapulisan na kung may makikita kayong lumalabag sa batas patungkol sa pagbebenta at paggamit ng mga prohibited firecrackers ay maari ninyo itong iulat sa pinaka malapit na himpilan ng pulisya sa inyong lugar.
Sa kasalukuyan, ang Quezon PNP ay nakapagtala na ng isang huli sa pagbebenta ng prohibited firecrackers. Samantala, nakumpiska naman ang 4 bundle (400pcs) ng whistle bomb o kwitis na nagkakahalaga ng Php 4,000.00.
“Kailangan namin ang lubos na kooperasyon ng mga mamamayan, kaya I am urging every Quezonian to report immediately if you witness any suspicious activities,” dagdag pa ni PCOL MONTE.
