QUEZON — Labintatlong katao ang inaresto matapos maaktuhan umano sa iligal na “paihi” o paglilipat ng mga produktong petrolyo mula sa mga tanker truck patungo sa mga IBC plastic container, at “pasingaw” o paglilipat ng LPG mula sa tanker patungo sa mga LPG cylinder at tangke sa isang compound sa Barangay Silangang Mayao, Lucena City nitong Lunes, July 27.

Pinangunahan ng Regional Special Operations Unit 4A, kasama ang Regional Intelligence Division 4A, Provincial Intelligence Unit ng Quezon Police Provincial Office at Lucena City Component Police Station, ang operasyon alinsunod sa pinaigting na kampanya ng PRO4A laban sa oil smuggling at iba pang kaugnay na iligal na aktibidad.

Nahaharap ang mga suspek sa kasong paglabag sa Presidential Decree No. 1865 o Oil Pilferage Law at Republic Act No. 11592 o LPG Industry Regulation Act matapos silang mahuling aktuwal na nagsasagawa umano ng “paihi” at “pasingaw.”

Nakumpiska sa operasyon ang iba’t ibang tanker truck, delivery truck, IBC containers, LPG cylinders, mga hose, water pump, libu-libong litro ng diesel at LPG, na may kabuuang tinatayang halaga na umaabot sa mahigit 16.28 milyong piso.

Dinala ang lahat ng suspek sa Lucena City Component Police Station para sa dokumentasyon at inquest proceedings habang nagpapatuloy ang imbestigasyon sa posibleng lawak ng umano’y ilegal na operasyon sa lungsod.
