The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) has approved the start of toll collection for the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) Subsection 3, covering the Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange to Governor’s Drive in General Trias, Cavite, beginning August 9, 2026.

The 7.88-kilometer segment has been toll-free since its opening on May 4, giving motorists nearly three months of free access. During the period, the new section accommodated almost 9,000 motorists daily, providing residents, workers, students, and businesses with a faster and more convenient alternative route.

Starting August 9, motorists traveling from Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange to Governor’s Drive will be charged the following toll rates:

Class 1: ₱35

Class 2: ₱70

Class 3: ₱106


For motorists traveling from Governor’s Drive in General Trias to Greenfield in Laguna, the applicable rates will be:

Class 1: ₱117

Class 2: ₱234

Class 3: ₱351


The newly opened subsection is intended to provide an alternative to heavily congested local roads traversing Cavite’s rapidly developing industrial and residential areas. It is expected to help reduce travel time while improving the movement of people, goods, and services across the region.

With Subsection 3 now operational, CALAX has reached an operating length of 26 kilometers, connecting the Governor’s Drive area in Cavite to the Greenfield-Mamplasan Entry in Biñan, Laguna.

Once fully completed, the CALAX network is projected to accommodate up to 65,000 vehicles daily, further strengthening connectivity among Cavite, Laguna, and Southern Metro Manila.

The expressway forms part of major infrastructure efforts aimed at easing traffic congestion on local roads and supporting economic activity in one of the country’s fastest-growing regions.
